Abstract

Malaria masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang signifikan di Indonesia, khususnya di wilayah Papua. Deteksi dini merupakan strategi penting dalam pengendalian malaria, salah satunya melalui penggunaan Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT). Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas Kader Malaria dalam melakukan pemeriksaan malaria menggunakan RDT. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama satu hari dengan melibatkan 23 kader malaria melalui metode ceramah interaktif, demonstrasi, dan praktik lapangan yang didampingi fasilitator. Evaluasi dilakukan sebagai bagian dari pemantauan kegiatan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test untuk menilai pengetahuan, serta observasi terstruktur untuk menilai keterampilan praktik berdasarkan pedoman WHO dan Kementerian Kesehatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kapasitas kader secara deskriptif, dengan 87% peserta berada pada kategori keterampilan praktik baik, terutama pada aspek interpretasi hasil. Kegiatan ini menegaskan peran kader sebagai garda terdepan dalam deteksi dini malaria berbasis komunitas serta menunjukkan kontribusi pelatihan terstruktur terhadap penguatan upaya pengendalian malaria di tingkat lokal.
