Abstract

Pada individu dengan kasus sprain ankle sering ditemukan khususnya pada individu yang berfokus pada olahraga sepak bola. Penanganan lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan, karena beberapa penelitian menyebutkan bahwa individu dengan kasus sprain ankle dapat menyebabkan resiko cedera berulang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efek terapi latihan khususnya dengan penambahan modifikasi latihan SEBT (Star Exursion Balance Test Exercise) pada keseimbangan dan kekuatan otot pada pasien dengan kasus ankle sprain. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan case report dengan Single subject research yang dilakukan terhadap atlet yang sekaligus guru olahraga dengan sprain ankle berumur 42 tahun dan penelitian dilakukan 1 bulan pada bulan Oktober 2022. subjek diberikan modalitas fisioterapi (Ultrasound, Tens, Massage) dan terapi latihan selama 3 minggu   terapi dilakukan sebanyak 1x/minggu dan dilakukan follow up pengukuran kemampuan fungsional dengan skala jette. Hasil dari efek Terapi latihan khususnya dengan penambahan modifikasi latihan SEBT (Star Exursion Balance Test Exercise) dalam kurun waktu latihan selama 3 minggu dengan 3 kali latihan mampu meningkatkan keseimbangan dan kekuatan otot pada pasien dengan kasus sprain ankle. Saran untuk pasien atau atlet dengan kasus sprain ankle sebaiknya melakukan beberapa terapi latihan khususnya dengan SEBT (Star Exursion Balance Test Exercise) supaya keseimbangan dan kekuatan otot meningkat dan bisa kembali ke lapangan.
