Publication Schedule
MEDICA (International Medical Scientific Journal) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality research in medicine, clinical practice, biomedical sciences, and public health.
To ensure the regular and timely dissemination of scientific findings, MEDICA implemented a publication schedule of three issues per year through 2025. Beginning in 2026, the journal transitioned to a monthly publication frequency, with twelve regular issues per year.

MEDICA is committed to maintaining publication regularity, editorial transparency, and the timely dissemination of peer-reviewed research. The monthly publication model is intended to provide more frequent opportunities for publishing accepted manuscripts and to improve the accessibility of current scientific findings for researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, and the wider academic community.
Article in Press
MEDICA may publish accepted manuscripts through its Article in Press system before the completion of the corresponding regular issue. Articles designated as Article in Press have successfully completed the required editorial evaluation and peer-review process and have received final acceptance for publication.
These articles may be made available online before assignment to a specific volume, issue, or page range, depending on the journal's publishing workflow. Each article will be assigned to its designated regular issue in accordance with the journal's publication schedule when the relevant bibliographic information becomes available.
Articles published through the Article in Press system are subject to the same publication ethics, editorial standards, and quality requirements as other articles published by MEDICA.
Manuscripts in Progress
In Progress refers to manuscripts that are undergoing one or more stages of the publication process, including editorial screening, peer review, revision, copyediting, proofreading, or production, as applicable.
The status In Progress does not indicate final acceptance or guarantee publication. Manuscripts may be published only after completing the required editorial and peer-review procedures and receiving formal acceptance from the Editorial Board or authorized editor.
MEDICA aims to process manuscripts efficiently while maintaining the integrity, rigor, and quality of its editorial and peer-review procedures. The time required to complete each stage may vary depending on the complexity of the manuscript, reviewer availability, the extent of revisions required, and production considerations.
Publication Regularity and Editorial Policy
MEDICA is committed to maintaining its scheduled publication frequency and ensuring that all published articles meet the journal's scientific, ethical, and editorial standards. The transition from three issues per year through 2025 to monthly publication beginning in 2026 reflects the journal's publication policy and commitment to the continuous dissemination of medical and health sciences research.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to adjust publication arrangements when necessary due to editorial, technical, or operational considerations. Any changes will be communicated transparently while maintaining publication ethics, consistency, and the quality of the journal's scholarly content.
