Pemberian Makanan Pendamping ASI (MPASI) Dini sebagai salah satu Faktor Penyebab Kejadian Stunting: Literature Review

Stunting selama dua tahun pertama kehidupan menjadi perhatian dunia sebab konsekuensi jangka panjang yang tidak bisa diubah pada perkembangan individu, termasuk pertumbuhan fisik yang buruk, perkembangan kognitif dan psikomotor yang buruk. Pemberian makanan pendamping ASI dini dapat berkontribusi pada kejadian stunting. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi keterkaitan pemberian Makanan Pendamping ASI (MPASI) secara dini terhadap kejadian stunting. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literature (literature review). Artikel yang digunakan merupakan penelitian-penelitian dengan data primer yang relevan tentang Pemberian MPASI dini dan kejadian stunting yang ditelusuri melalui Google Scholar, Pubmed dan Scopus dengan kata kunci kata kunci “stunting and early complementary feeding practices”, “early introduction of complementary food”, dan “factors affecting stunting”. Diperoleh 6 artikel yang eligible dan sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi yang ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara pemberian MPASI dini dengan kejadian stunting. Edukasi mengenai dampak pemberian MPASI dini diharapkan dapat membantu mengurangi jumlah bayi yang diberikan MPASI sebelum waktunya demi mengurangi angka kejadian stunting.
